The duo expressed, “We have always tried to give healthy food to our kids and we know how hard it is for working mothers to make fresh and healthy baby food, as babies need to eat several times a day in little quantities. We see that many mothers are ending up giving dal rice or other cereal, banana or biscuits but not giving variety of fruits and vegetables consistently to their babies. We realized that many moms and dads simply don’t have the time to do this.”

About the process, they said, “We gently steam or bake our fruits and veggies in small batches, puree, and mix per our tested recipes at our commercial kitchen in Kondapur, Hyderabad. We follow safe food handling and preparation guidelines.”

They added, “We never over-process our food, ensuring that all of the vital nutrients and flavors remain intact! We immediately freeze the purees into 1 oz or 2 oz cubes. Our cubes are packed 4 to a bag, and then to a zip lock pouch, perfect to toss in your freezer and pull out as needed.”

Peppy Maa strongly believes in eating food that is minimally processed, which is why their foods are made fresh and frozen without any added preservatives or pasteurization.

The successful advised, aspiring women entrepreneurs “invest time to research everything, like market, legal requirements, raw material providers etc. Do not step back with fear if you have good ideas.”
