The two day hackathon that recently concluded in the city at Ashoka Group of Institutions Campus in Hyderabad had positive impact on Studenpreneurs. About 26 Startups, in the growth stage participated. Along with nearly 64 wannapreneurs presented their idea to industry salvos for validation.
The toppers of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition called A-HUB Hackathon were judged by the industry experts. The top three were SenseGiz Technologies founded by Abhishek Hemant and Digvijay Dattatray, an Iot based product which has had profound market validation globally.
The second was Olive Drones founded by Enosh Perike, an agriculture aiding spraying bee, which was sure to create a disruption in its space with features and economy.
The third was Flywheel Power Multiplication founded by Dr. Chaganti Srinivas Bhaskar, a dedicated founder who wanted the product, a power generation and storage machine which every household needs, cumulatively making the country with surplus power.
The event started off with all dignitaries present on time. Dr. Sriram Birdavolu, CEO – Data Security Council of India (DSCI), NASSCOM and Former Vice President, T-Hub was the Chief Guest and Dr. Subir Kumar Chaudhuri, Director Retd., RCI – DRDO and Visiting Scientist, NASA and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) USA was the Guest of Honour respectively.
The Principal of the college (AIET), Dr. M. Sreedhar Reddy, welcomed the gathering and spoke briefly about their initiatives. He briefed, “Ashoka Institute of Engineering & Technology was established in 2009 by Ashok Sailaja Educational Society (Non-Profit) in 30 acre lush green campus at Malkapur, Hyderabad.
It is approved by AICTE, affiliated to JNTU-Hyderabad & accredited by NAAC The institute has signed MOUs with IIT-Hyderabad NIT-Warangal and corporate-companies to bridge the gap between industry & academia.”
On the other hand, the man of the day, Dr. R. Hafeez Basha, CEO – Incubation Center, A-HUB , was overwhelmed with the response from the industry and the student community from across the country. He highlighted, “Ashoka Innovazi is Technology Business Incubator of Ashoka Group of Institutions that fosters an entrepreneurial ecosystem among the students and faculty in the region. We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sindoz Turtle Startup Incubator, subsidiary of Turtle Holdings Ltd. China and initiated the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Overseas Talents which attracted participants from IIM-Ahmadabad, IIT-Bombay, IIT-Madras, IIT-Guwahati, IIT-Roorkee, etc.
Some of the active partners who have fostered value addition to the initiative are State Innovation Cell, Government of Telangana, Nexus Startup Hub, American Center (Embassy), Atal Incubation Center, CSIR-CCMB, WE-Hub Atal Incubation Center, ALEAP, Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST), AskMentor, etc.”
The two day event had a jury list of renowned ecosystem stakeholders who had evaluated the participating ideators. Be it a growth stage StartUp or an ideating student, each presentation was impressive and well nurtured.
