Niveditha EV gearing to serve Agritech

03012020 Anantapur, EV:

E-mobility is the primary concern of the environmentalists who would like to bring about full stop to fossil fuels. The government is also emphasizing on Electric Vehicles for public transport. There is still huge work that needs to be done in this segment. Zero Emission Vehicles (EV) are the need of the hour.

Niveditha EV 01One such brilliant brain is GANESH KUMAR of Anantapur city in Andhra Pradesh. This young mechanical engineer has an institution that imparts training in CADD CAM.

However his entrepreneurial spirits were not satisfied till he designed a spraying vehicle using electrical energy. While researching on EV in agricultural sector, he stumbled upon the huge expenses incurred by fruit growers of this region.

The main fruits that are grown here are pomegranates and Oranges. Both these plants need regular spraying of water and mostly tractors are used for this which eats into their budgets. Ganesh found this problem as an opportunity and designed an EV for this purpose/

Phenomenally this was tested by a regional farmer who experienced ease in operation and saving of nearly 4K per week. Thus was born NIVEDITHA MOTORS Pvt Ltd. This vehicle could travel 10-12 km on a single charge and that was quite within the need of the farms.

This made to order company never stocks vehicles but only manufactures against orders. In addition the techie also has designed a EV for handicapped suing the Scooty type vehicles. Unlike the competitors Ganesh’s vehicle has only two wheels behind and could travel in the reverse direction.

With this core competence in the EV, the driver has the mobility to reverse the vehicle and move in ease. This advantage is a win-win situation to physically challenged riders.

Niveditha EV 02In a candid chat, he mentioned that they were planning to set up a project on EV charging which was the biggest challenge for EVs. Very soon they plan to launch a series of EV stations for charging and swapping.

With abundant technical manpower in the country we could dominate the Global EV scenario with our innovations. The advantage of EV would be it not only reduces pollution but also saves largely on the foreign exchange used for buying fossil fuels.

NITI Aayog report reveals, ‘India has over 170 million two-wheelers. If we assume that each of these vehicles uses a little more than half a litre of petrol per day or about 200 litres per year, the total amount of petrol used by such vehicles is about 34 billion litres.’

The report also stated, ‘Even if we assume that 50% of this is the cost of imported crude (as tax and other may be 50%), one may save ?1.2 lakh crores worth of imported oil. There is a real possibility of getting this done in the next five to seven years.’

There is a huge opportunity awaiting the innovative brains of this nation. Just wake up and probe to take part in this largest revolution from pollution to cleaner cities.
