LTD.

Cumulatively the four pillars of this logistics platform have approx 70+ years of expertise from the ECom industry. Since they have seen both the sides of the coin to frame amiable strategies to balance a win-win situation to both the sides would have been an encouraging mission.

Join me to probe how these foursome launched YOLOJET and how they have created their differentiators amidst already existing players of the domain.

How do you feel YOLOJET is different?

We wanted to build in various factors into a solution with valid components like economical, easy integration backed up by responsive customer care yielding efficient NDR. In addition we have also put in place an in-house disputes management team and fulfillment centers across geographies for reducing the client’s burden.   These features have been well received by clients as we are fulfilling most of their requisites.

In fact what was your main motivation behind this venture?

We got the motivation to start our venture from the clients themselves. Working with our previous organizations we experienced the different kind of challenges, being at the receiving end of it. We started discussing these issues among ourselves and then concluded that if we can solve these issues it will result into huge cost and time saving for the clients. This will also enable them to focus more on their core business and leave logistics to YOLOJET.

How do you strategize to solve all the above problems?

YOLOJET’s in-house team picks up from the moment an order is punched in the system. The in-house team ensures the pickup is done on time and the consignment is delivered within agreed timeline with great customer experience.

Our efficient Customer service teams handle the issues of every individual customer in a courteous and helpful manner. In fact, courier and logistic companies are more concerned about the volume of load and not on addressing the issues and concerns of the consigner.

What are the issues by the clients and how do you give a befitting solution to them?

RTO (happens especially in COD) is one of the biggest pain areas for the small and medium sellers and even giant e commerce companies. These RTOs result into higher per shipment cost and directly affects the revenue of the client.

With our trained NDR management team we ensure that the deliveries are done in the maximum number thus saving cost for our client. YOLOJET’s NDR management team do multiple attempts to deliver the consignment to the end customer. This in turn reduces RTO, warehouse cost and returns shipping cost and save money for the clients.

How else do you benefit clients with your innovative methodology?

Warehousing and storage is a major cost for the clients. With our micro fulfillment centers across major cities, we reduce not only reduce client’s storage cost by almost 20%, we also help them in hyper local delivery time with a much reduced timeline.

We are also quite economical because, by virtue of the load volume commitment to our logistic partners we get a much better price as comparison to when the small and medium sellers do it themselves. This directly reduces their delivery cost and increases the profit margin.

By partnering with our top logistics partners, we provide a wide reach to our customers. Currently we are serviceable across 27,000+ pin codes across India.

How do you fit in the market?

Our solution empowers the small and medium sized sellers with our delivery management solution. The platform is absolutely free for them and it enables them to have their consignment booked and delivered.

YOLOJET enable sellers to view several delivery options available with leading logistic companies, they can choose the one with best price or delivery time, basis their preference and then place the order from the panel itself. They also have choice of sending their consignment in both prepaid and COD mode.

Now coming to payment options, how are you customizing as per market demands?

There are all kind of payment options available right from scanning a QR code to credit card, debit card and net banking. Early remittance is done to the sellers for constant cash flow. The dashboard provides a unified view that includes the performance of the consignment delivery and also the amount spent for those deliveries, balancing both for optimal profit monitoring.

What is your traction till date?

YOLOJET has started, on-boarding and operation from April 6, 2021, we have so far been able to onboard approx. 350 small/medium sized sellers. We are on stage of finalizing commercials and integration with 3 leading e commerce players which will give us an additional load of 1200+ and couple of medium sized ecommerce players with a load of 150+ daily loads each.

Where do you see YOLOJET in the coming future?

As our future plan for next 2 quarters, we will onboard 2-3 e commerce players every quarter with a minimum combined load of 500, small and medium sellers with a combined load of 600. We will be adding fulfillment centers at 4 different locations across India. Also, there are major integration plans with major e commerce platforms and drop shipment platforms. To meet these scaling we are looking to rise 10+Cr funding.

What according to you is the best award in your domain?

At YOLOJET we believe, the biggest reward and recognition is that we got no escalation so far and we are sure that the trophies will follow in due course, if we able to satisfy our partners in the business.

What were uphill tasks for your venture?

We have a clear vision of what we want to build, but still there are few things which needs expertise in other fields too, which none of us was aware of or have done it in the past. These are things like company incorporation and the legal aspects attached to it. Most importantly we required decent amount of money to build the MVP, Application etc. We added a small amount of money ourselves and got help from friend and know people to raise a small amount of investment. In our pursuit for continuous improvement and enhancement we had to do a lot of research and study WRT the industry.

With a very limited cash-flow we are working almost 16+ hours a day to join the pieces and so far have been able to build a meaningful solution to address the issues of our clients. The ideas now, is to build on what we have been able to do successfully till now and keep enhancing and improving our model to make things easier and better for the clients.

Tell us something about the founding team’s background?

We are four in the team:

Hira Nandan Tewari: 20+ yrs experience of experience in sales marketing and operations. Actively working towards solving the delivery related issues of Small/ Mid-size / Enterprise clients, leveraging technology and an extended sales team for Logistics companies. Previous experience of working with companies like HCL, Wipro, TechM and FIS.

Gopi Krishna: 20+ yrs Experience in Service Delivery with a demonstrated history of working in the space of e-commerce, ITES and logistics. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Customer Service, Sales, Business Development, and Customer Satisfaction. Strong operations professional.

Sachin Teji: 19+ yrs. of experience of demonstrated history of working in the logistics and supply chain industry. Headed pan India service and delivery for the leading ecommerce company. Skilled in Management, Leadership, Customer Service, Business Development, and Team Management.

Rohan Sinha: 15+ yrs of experience. Committed towards technology innovations and providing end to end solutions with seamless integrations and support. Experienced with heading the team of Young and energetic individual who are fully committed towards their work and perform to their best to elevate customer service.
