This is real good news for innovators and inventors in and around Mumbai, who aspire to go on their own to enterprise development. VentureNursery offer an intensive and immerse mentoring to a batch of entrepreneurs by active angel investors. They propose to hold two boot camps in a year in Mumbai. The first one is to commence in May this year. In each of these camps, guidance would be given to eight start-ups. These start ups that graduate successfully, in this 13-week program, will be considered for seed funding by the Angels. While start-ups from across the country are eligible to participate in the boot-camp, non-Mumbai applicants will have to relocate to the city for 13 weeks.

Initially VentureNursery founded by Shravan Shroff and his friend Ravi Kiran plan to encourage start-ups from five sectors like Media & Entertainment, Retail, e-Commerce, Consumer Technology, Education and Cleantech. Located in Mumbai, the company proposes to mentor and accelerate up to a dozen start-ups in the first year. Following a unique Angel-in-Residence model, in addition to providing business and infrastructural support.

The organization’s motto is that the angel ecosystem must focus primarily on maximizing the success potential of start-ups. Their aim is to undertake an intensive and immerse coaching and mentoring role for the start-up, while aiding them with their qualitative expertise. They would like to fine-tune the sustainability of a start-up. In addition, encourage them to turn worthy to garner angel investments.
