Realizing this problem as an opportunity RAVI TEJA GUPTA, founder of BestCareerCounsellors.com, designed a solution as a startup that provides free career counselling services for students, in 2019.
He elaborates, ‘the process has three stages: choice-filling with an expert, where a student gets step-by-step guidance of different career paths and choices.’
RAVI TEJA GUPTA explains that counselling depends on the grades of the students, interests, and aptitude. The startup also analyses the student’s profile and helps them work on an assessment. Based on this, the startup helps the student decide on a career path and the right college for the same.
What made this young man work on this till date neglected problem, ‘initially I joined an engineering college, but after a year, I realised this was not what I wanted to do, and dropped out of engineering. But then I saw the problem wasn’t unique to me. There were many who chose a wrong career path or just didn’t know what they could do.’ And that’s how his initiative got life.
The team has also launched a student’s community THE STUDENTS CLUB which is into making students industry ready with un-school concept of learning. This startup will be helpful to students in their complete student life cycle.
- From aspiring students of top colleges, to getting admission into a top college which suits his/her requirements by matching his requirements with the USP of the college.
- To gaining, learning everything that’s required to become industry ready but not taught in the college like workshops, seminars, hackathons, case studies, internships, freelancing opportunities.
