01 Navisor

  • Are you feeling distracted while navigating in new location
  • Finding it difficult to get navigational instructions while riding
  • Are you a fanatic bike trekker going on long journey to unknown destinations
  • A delivery boy new to the city
  • Want to explore the world with your two wheeler

Imagine travelling in an unknown land on your bike and want to get instructed by your navigational guide. The cumbersome process starts with having an attachment to hold the mobile, connecting with a speaker to hear the instructions and with all these, also concentrating on the road. OMG! Hectic activity and nothing can be compromised either.

Well the good news round the corner, is a marvel designed by Bangalore based PUPILMESH. This IIM, Bengaluru incubated StartUp has developed a unique navigation accessory, NAVisor that fits into any helmet.

NAVisor is a simple device that guides the bike rider through difficult terrain without the hassle of turning around. This device fits into any modern helmet and one can use it while concentrating on the road.

The main motto of NAVisor is to prevent road accidents while giving clear vision and navigational instructions to the bike rider.

NAVisor is a bike gear that gives ‘Non Intrusive Visual Cues’ to the user. The device is a ‘Visual Soft LED light guiding the rider, offering indications of impending turns, without distracting the rider and preserving complete peripheral perceptibility.’

NAVisor is ‘a navigation device that hooks up to your helmet and will guide you around town through which most common road accidents can be prevented. The device connects to a mobile app via Bluetooth and directs the rider with LED illuminations and earphones attached inside the helmet.’

‘The NAVisor app works with MapmyIndia and uses its navigation information. The device itself, weighing 8 grams, has LED lights on both ends of the vision to offer visual cues. Connect the device to your app via Bluetooth, key in your destination and vroom away with the help of visual cues the device offers.’

‘If you have a turn coming up on your left, the LED on the left lights up and the one on the right glows red if your right turn is right ahead. Along with visual cues, you can opt for audio module which will sit within the foam padding of your helmet and instruct you when it comes to directions. It will also assist you to take calls and listen to music.’

PUPILMESHteam started its journey as SARmet in July 2017, to create an ultimate biker’s helmet which provides enhanced control and awareness on the road. Backed by the Dept of Science and Technology, SARmet was chosen as one of the best products of IICDC 2017.’

‘Incorporated as PupilMesh Pvt LTD since November 2018, they now specialize in investigating and implementing innovative solutions with cutting edge technologies like Augmented Reality, Computer Vision and IoT.’
