All this was possible at the HealthXcelerator held virtually, last fortnight by The EvXprts Foundation. This was a rare event that had the presence of most enthusiasts of the health domain.
Probably this was a curtain raiser for an ecosystem that needed more such events in agnostic emerging domains where the innovative meet the industry. Ultimately every founder dreams of making big in business by serving many, through their innovate concepts and this was the right sort of platform for such a value addition.
The organizers in their own words….‘The objective of healthXcelerator is to provide a platform for StartUps to pitch their products and solutions, to a strong network of stakeholders involving consultants, advisors, dealers, distributors, and online media focusing on healthcare!’
Nearly Six StartUps pitched about their innovations to participants and each was had a wow factor inbuilt while serving the regular problems with their tech prowess.
The first StartUp was ‘MediAsha is an innovation driven startup led by young passionate people, focusing on development of novel medical devices that adhere to regulatory specifications, quality and patient comfort with a high impact on society yet at an affordable price. Second StartUp that pitched its innovation was, ‘MEDBUYER.IN, India’s only comprehensive Med-tech Research platform. We provide a platform where buyers and sellers can research, buy and sell medical equipment and consumables. The next StartUp was, BOTS ‘N BRAINS, PRATHAMESH GOSAVI (Can be contacted on +91 8788363833) revealed, ‘We work as Research & Product Development partners to build select medical device technologies along with all necessary support from Concept to Commercialisation. The biggest challenge of R&D is high cost of failure & limited access to tools, talent, training & turf.
To solve this, we are building PIVA™ – World’s 1st fully integrated ER&D ecosystem, bringing together 1000s of stakeholders in 8 different categories (Innovation Catalysts) to accelerate Research & Product development.

Fourth in the league was, ROBO BIONICS, they have developed Grippy India’s Own NABL Lab Safety Tested and Certified, 3D printed Prosthetic hand with a sense of touch and multi-grip control. Designed, engineered, and proudly made in India, Grippy is a lightweight and affordable, battery-powered prosthesis now available in the Indian market for people with below elbow amputation age 15 years and above. Next was, ‘Dextroware Devices, an IIT-M Incubated StartUp company that will be a single stop for the development of affordable Assistive Technologies as well as other associated consumer electronic products that will foster people across all categories to access technology.

The last to pitch was, ‘Jeevtronics that has developed the world’s first dual powered (hand cranked + electricity) defibrillator that works even in areas without reliable electricity (India, Africa, S America, Asia) and costs 1/4th of the big brands but has similar or better quality. Hospitals, ambulances, disaster relief agencies etc could benefit from this immensely.

More such fruitful events would bring the ecosystem closer to reality and prospective. Stakeholders must take worthy initiatives to develop a harmony between innovate and necessity to take things to the next level and inturn make the nation join the developed league, globally.
